What is Invisalign treatment?

When you begin your Invisalign treatment, you will wear each set of custom-made aligners in two-week increments. As you progress through the series of aligners, your teeth will begin moving, little by little, gradually moving towards the projected final position.
During this time you will have occasional check-ups in order to monitor your progress and ensure you are comfortable with the treatment.
The time it takes to complete the treatment varies from person to person, depending on the complexity of each straightening issue.
Once we’ve confirmed you’re eligible for treatment, we will take photos, X-rays, and dental impressions, of your teeth. These records will be used to create a 3D treatment plan, just for you.

The Three Step Treatment Plan
1. The Consultation
Once we have confirmed you’re eligible for treatment, we will take photos, X-rays and dental impressions of your teeth. These ClinCheck records will be used to create a treatment plan, just for you.
2. The Aligners
After being custom-made and shipped to Porter Brook Dental you’ll receive a series of aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average
every 1-2 weeks.

Impressions taken of your teeth, which will be used to create your very own ClinCheck 3-D result o show the movements that your teeth will make during the Invisalign process to give you the brand new smile that you’ve been dreaming of.
Invisalign’s smile software can show you what your new smile will look like before you even begin treatment, allowing you to make an informed decision on whether Invisalign is the right type of treatment for you.
Invisalign is an innovative teeth straightening system that works through a series of almost invisible, removable aligners. The Invisalign process is just as effective as traditional braces but it doesn’t use uncomfortable metal brackets and wires.
Invisalign is subtle, convenient and comfortable, and the fact that each aligner is removable is a benefit that many patients have found to be both useful and enjoyable. There’s no need to cut out your favourite food and drink or to stop living your life, simply remove your aligners and tuck into your meals as usual.

Treatment steps
- The Consultation – Once we’ve confirmed you’re eligible for treatment, we will take photos, X-rays and dental impressions of your teeth. These ClinCheck records will be used to create a 3D treatment plan, just for you.
- The Aligners -After being custom-made and shipped to our clinic, you’ll receive a series of aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average every 2 weeks.
- The Results -You’ll visit your Provider around every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress and receive new aligners. After finishing your treatment plan, retainers will be required to maintain your new smile.
